New School Year

Yes, as everyone knows, we do not need to blog just yet. It doesn't matter. IT'S BLOGGING TIME AGAIN! I'm blogging mostly because I'm bored. Yes, I'm very bored, it's a big shocker. Anyways, welcome back to the blog, because it's been months. That's all for know, I guess.

Weekly Recommendation: Week 14

Hello, my friend is back. I shall not introduce him. I'm too lazy. His name is Richie by the way. Short for Richard. Anyways, I'll hand the keyboard over to him now.

K so I did the Chasing Cars one like 7 weeks back or whenever, and well I'm here to do another one.

Um, for this week I'm going to do a song by Oasis, though I'm 100% sure no one will like it. It's Champagne Supernova, and it's 7 minutes long. Um.... it was only released in the US as a single and I think it's played on the radio. Sometimes

But anyways, it's epic so yeah.

Lyrics:

Lyrics. Obviously.

Well yeah

but seriously if you really want a song you'll like, then go listen to On My Own by Hedley.

Well, it's back to me, Oscar, and that was a random way to end the year. How nice. Have a good life, everybody. I'll possibly see you school next year.

GOODBYE!!

Signed-Oscar

Weekly Recommendation: Week 13

Oh look, a superstition of the unlucky number 13. Hm....what shall I be doing to celebrate this....

Ha, I knew it. Wait...is it alternative? Give me a second. No, it's rock. Oh, whatever. This is an unlucky exception, okay? It works with the week number. DevilDriver this is.

Unlucky 13

Walk under ladders
Shatter seven mirrors
They say that's bad luck
For seven years
So, drink your glasses
But not at midnight
Salt over your shoulder
Into the fury!

Goes through with insecure
Goes through with insecure

I laugh at hearses roll by

Never look in the evil eye
Hold my breath in cemeteries
Many ill wishes for my enemies

Cease fire, seize the day
I rue the day that you were made
Cease fire, seize the day
I rue the day that you were made

Go ahead and get it off your chest
With luck you may survive
The guillotine
Nothing's what it seems
Unlucky 13
Nothing's what it seems
With the number thirteen

Lay under tin roofs
While lightning strikes
Not afraid
To rule the night
So many black cats
That cross my path
It gives me power
To work my wrath
I've knocked on wood
As the clock strikes twelve
This is the hour
When all the spirits dwell

I laugh at hearses roll by
Never look in the evil eye
Hold my breath in cemeteries
Many ill wishes for my enemies

Cease fire, seize the day
I rue the day that you were made
Cease fire, seize the day
I rue the day that you were made

Go ahead and get it off your chest
With luck you may survive
The guillotine
Nothing's what it seems
Unlucky 13
Nothing's what it seems
With the number thirteen

Yeah, you!
Cease fire, seize the day
I rue the day that you were made
Cease fire, seize the day
I rue the day that you were made
Go ahead and get it off your chest
With luck you may survive
The guillotine
Nothing's what it seems
Unlucky thirteen
Nothing's what it seems
With the number thirteen
This unlucky life
This unlucky life
Unlucky thirteen

So....screamo....I'm not even kidding. Ok, link.

Enjoy, even though, you probably won't.

HA! That was funny. No, I was just kidding. I wonder, if you are even reading this. Anyways, the real recommendation. Gorillaz? Yes, they are gorillas. No, they aren't, but they're pretty good. I think the fact that they aren't gorillas makes them sound good already.

Feel Good Inc.

City's breaking down on a camel's back.
They just have to go 'cos they don’t know wack
So while you fill the streets, it's appealing to see.
You won't get out the county, 'cos you're damn ass free.
You've got a new horizon, it's ephemeral style,
A melancholy town where we never smile.
And all I wanna hear is the message beep.
My dreams, I gotta kiss, because I don’t get sleep, no...

*BEEP*

Windmill, windmill for the land
Turn forever hand in hand
Take it all in on your stride
It is ticking falling down...
Love forever, Love is free
Lets turn forever you and me
Windmill, windmill for the land-
Is everybody in?

Laughing gas these hazmats, fast cats,
Linin' em up like ass cracks,
Ladies ponies at the track
It's my chocolate attack.
****, I'm stepping in heart of this here
Care bear bumpin' in the heart of this here
Watch me as I gravitate
Hahahahahaa.

Yo, we go ghost town,
This Motown,
With your sound
You win the blink.
Gon' bite the dust
Can't fight with us
With yo sound
You kill the INC.
So don’t stop, get it, get it
Until you're cheddar header.
Watch the way I navigate
Hahahahahahaa!

Shake it, shake it, shake it, Feel good
Shake it, shake it, shake it, Feel good
Shake it, shake it, shake it, Feel good
Shake it, shake it, shake it, Feel good

(Wait about 24 seconds until he starts singing again)

Windmill, windmill for the land
Turn forever hand in hand
Take it all in on your stride
It is ticking falling down...
Love forever Love is free
Lets turn forever you and me
Windmill, windmill for the land-
Is everybody in?

Don't stop, get it, get it,
We are your captains in it. Steady,
Watch me navigate,
Ahahahahahhaa

Don't stop, get it, get it,
We are your captains in it. Steady,
Watch me navigate,
Ahhahahahaa

Shake it, shake it, shake it, Feel good
Shake it, shake it, shake it, Feel good
Shake it, shake it, shake it, Feel good
Shake it, shake it, shake it, Feel good

Ahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...

You might want to watch out, there's swearing. Link?  Feel Good Inc.-Gorillaz
The music video scares me. A lot. Just warning you. Oh, another warning, the band is actually virtual, like, with comic book characters. Created by a group of people. It's pretty amazing how they do all that though. Just telling you. Bye. For real this time.

Weekly Recommendation: Week 12

Well, I just have a few more weeks of this torture-I mean- fun, left. Well, it is pretty torturous, to do this ENDLESSLY. It's not endlessly, but you get the point. I have 3 weeks, including this one. Now, what shall I choose for recommendifying? No, that is not a word, but it still is pretty awesome. Anyways, on to the thinking process.

Step 1: Open iTunes.
Step 2: Go to www.youtube.com
Step 3: Find something alternative from a music artist that I have not shown to you yet. (By the way, according to iTunes, Linkin Park is indeed, alternative, but, I won't use Linkin Park)
Step 4: Show it to you (even though this isn't happening anytime soon)

Oh...Nirvana. SMELLS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT, EH?

Smells Like Teen Spirit

Load up on guns and bring your friends
It's fun to lose and to pretend
She's over-bored and self-assured
Oh no, I know a dirty word

Hello, hello, hello, how low?
Hello, hello, hello, how low?
Hello, hello, hello, how low?
Hello, hello, hello

With the lights out, it's less dangerous
Here we are now, entertain us
I feel stupid and contagious
Here we are now, entertain us

A mulatto, an albino
A mosquito, my libido
Yeah, hey, yay

I'm worse at what I do best
And for this gift I feel blessed
Our little group has always been
And always will until the end

Hello, hello, hello, how low?
Hello, hello, hello, how low?
Hello, hello, hello, how low?
Hello, hello, hello

With the lights out, it's less dangerous
Here we are now, entertain us
I feel stupid and contagious
Here we are now, entertain us

A mulatto, an albino
A mosquito, my libido
Yeah, hey, yay

And I forget just why I taste
Oh yeah, I guess it makes me smile
I found it hard, it's hard to find
Oh well, whatever, nevermind

Hello, hello, hello, how low?
Hello, hello, hello, how low?
Hello, hello, hello, how low?
Hello, hello, hello

With the lights out, it's less dangerous
Here we are now, entertain us
I feel stupid and contagious
Here we are now, entertain us

A mulatto, an albino
A mosquito, my libido

A denial, a denial
A denial, a denial
A denial, a denial
A denial, a denial
A denial

Well that was rather teen spirit-ish. Great. Oh, link. Give me a second to go on youtube and get a link for which you will listen to the music to these lyrics. That sounded...weird.

Notice how people wore Converse in 1991.
Good night. Even though it's not even 8:00 yet. Still, you get the point.
Bye, now.

One or two more posts...eh?

Well, that was fast. The year's almost over. That's all I can think of for now. Give me a break. Like, a really long break. (June 5)

(June 7) Well, that was definitely a really long break. I feel all rested up and ready to blog. Anyways, just 2 more posts. I'll do another random topic post sort of thing.

Random topic post part 1

You remember Captain Obvious? I've found that there is also one other superhero that goes with Captain Obvious. That would be Captain Understatement. Quotes from Captain Understatement (Because they are just so awesome):

“Chuck Norris jokes have been used to the point that I would agree with minor assertion that they're beginning to lose some of their humor.”
~ Captain Understatement on Chuck Norris jokes
“I have a slight habit of occasionally understating certain matters.”
~ Captain Understatement on himself
“I've heard that velociraptors can be somewhat dangerous. ”
~ Captain Understatement on Velociraptors
“He doesn't quite live up to his reputation.”
~ Captain Understatement on Chuck Norris
“I assume, from what records show, that he was not the kindest of gentlemen.”
~ Captain Understatement on Adolf Hitler
“This page might be pushing the envelope for the number of quotes suitable for an Uncyclopedia article”
~ Captain Understatement on this page having far too many quotes
“It was a bit loud.”
~ Captain Understatement on the Big Bang
“Twilight was absolutely terrible and Avatar was excellent!”
~ Captain Understatement on Twilight and Avatar
“That took a while”
~ Captain Understatement on The hundred year war
Not Random Topic Post Part 2...

Because this is Random Topic Post Part 2. Obviously.

Anyways, I'm blank. I'm going to think about this. In the meantime, I'll search for other people on Uncyclopedia. Because it's that awesome.

*searching*

CAPTAIN SARCASM. No, I don't think it's me. Shh...don't tell anyone this, but I'm his sidekick.

NO....REALLY?

Anyways, here's the first few lines in his article.

If you were looking for Captain Obvious, you really know your way around Uncyclopedia.
If you were looking for real information well done! You've found it!!.
Of all the superheroes out there, Captain Sarcasm may just be the most sarcastic.
“No, really?”
~ Captain Sarcasm on that last line

More quotes from him (also from Uncyclopedia)

No...of course it isn't. Just because the first few lines of is article mentions Uncyclopedia, doesn't mean that these quotes are from Uncyclopedia, too, right?

“With such wonderful people like you hard at work, it's a wonder we haven't invented a better mousetrap or something that will benefit all humanity, by now. ”
~ Captain Sarcasm on the world
“This article is so not ripping off the Captain Obvious article.”
~ random quote by Captain Sarcasm
“Yeah, I really get along with these people.”
~ Captain Sarcasm on his "friends"
“No, this guy is actually pretty profound...”
~ Captain Sarcasm on Captain Obvious
Oh, here's a little Captain Understatement to go with him.

“I think he's a little sarcastic.”
~ Captain Understatement on Captain Sarcasm
Don't forget Captain Obvious.
“He's called Captain Sarcasm because he's always so sarcastic!”
~ Captain Obvious on Captain Sarcasm
“No! How the hell did you know that?!?! You're a freakin' genius!”
~ Captain Sarcasm on the previous quote
“Drop and give me 20”
~ Captain Random on Captain Sarcasm and Bill Clinton and Captain Obvious and a slice of lemon peel with the chilli
“Yeah, that quote made a LOT of sense.”
~ Captain Sarcasm on the previous quote
 How interesting. Moving on?

Not random topic post 3....

Because this is random topic post 3.

This is getting somewhat cliché.
       ~ Captain Obvious

No...it's not cliché at all...
       ~ Captain Sarcasm

Anyways, what's topic number three?

The Four Horsemen of "Agh, No, Make Them Stop Talking"

Well, they're the 4 people (3 mentioned before) that are somewhat annoying. Oh, sorry, that was Captain Understatement. Anyways, the four people are Captain Obvious, Captain Understatement, Captain Sarcasm, and Captain Oblivious.

“Yeah, we really have horses.”
~ Captain Sarcasm on The Four Horsemen of "Agh, No, Make Them Stop Talking"
“I am Captain Obvious. He is Captain Sarcasm, he is Captain Oblivious, and he is Captain Understatement, and we make us the Four Horsemen of "Agh, No, Make Them Stop Talking"!”
~ Captain Obvious on The Four Horsemen of "Agh, No, Make Them Stop Talking"
“I don't really do much in the group.”
~ Captain Understatement on The Four Horsemen of "Agh, No, Make Them Stop Talking"
“No! You're so important! We can't do anything without you!”
~ Captain Sarcasm on Captain Understatement
“Wait, what? Hmm? ”
~ Captain Oblivious on The Four Horsemen of "Agh, No, Make Them Stop Talking"

Well, I suppose I'm done. Good night.

Weekly Recommendation: Week 11

Translator guy: Bonjour. Je m'appelle Oscar...

Me: Oh, no. Not again...

*sigh*

Translator guy, please get out.

Translator guy: Mais je suis ici pour traduire-

Me: Yes, I know that...but I don't think people want to read this in French....

Translator guy: Vous detestez la français?

Me: No, they don't hate it, they just have enough of it at school, and I'm trying to give lyrics, and they'll probably have no idea what it is in French...

Translator guy: Hmph! Au revior!

Ok, now that that's handled...AGAIN...let's get on to the recommendation!

Hm...I'm listening to the longest song I've ever heard of, which is Siberian Breaks-MGMT at 12 minutes 10 seconds. It's kinda weird, and I already did a recommendation of MGMT, so I'll try something else....okay, let me think about this.

So, after 10 minutes of thinking (yes, I looked at the clock), I've chosen Aqualung. Cool name eh? Anyways, here's the song.

Strange and Beautiful

I've been watching your world from afar
I've been trying to be where you are
And I've been secretly falling apart
Unseen

To me, you're strange and you're beautiful
You'd be so perfect with me
But you just can't see
You turn every head but you don't see me

I'll put a spell on you
You'll fall asleep when I put a spell on you
And when I wake you I'll be the first thing you see
And you'll realize that you love me

Yeah
Yeah

Sometimes the last thing you want comes in first
Sometimes the first thing you want never comes
But I know that waiting is all you can do
Sometimes

I'll put a spell on you
You'll fall asleep, I put a spell on you
And when I wake you I'll be the first thing you see
And you'll realize that you love me

I'll put a spell on you
You'll fall asleep when I put a spell on you
And when I wake you I'll be the first thing you see
And you'll realize that you love me, yeah

Yeah
Yeah
Yeah
Yeah

Do you want a link? You probably do.  Here: Strange and Beautiful-Aqualung

Well, that was interesting. I'm bored again. Just a few weeks until summer. Then, it'll be more boring. There's never anything to do on weekends, and there won't be anything to do in the summer. Okay, I guess I'm done. Bye!

Awesome camps we have, eh?

Did you see what I did there with the title? I'm Canadian. That's awesome. Anyways, onto the post.

So, one day, I was at camp (Yes, it was Scouts...STOP LAUGHING...that is, if you are laughing...ahem, Tracy...*cough cough*), minding my own business, when suddenly, events popped up at the camp. WE HAD TO DO THESE EVENTS! Well, partly because it was a challenge camp. I think our group was probably dead last. Our first event was fire building. The objective was to build this pile of wood up to 1 foot high so you can burn this piece of string. There was some bad news and no good news. OK, what kind of news do you want to hear first? Bad news number 1, or bad news number 2? To go in numeric and chronological (big and not understandable words, as you see) order, I will start with bad news number 1. OK, bad news number one is, we didn't get the fire to burn the string. We had a great fire, but it didn't burn the string. Bad news number 2, we don't get points for the awesome pile of wood we had built. IT LOOKED LIKE THE OLYMPIC TORCH! Well, anyways, we had failed that. Nothing was as interesting as that until dinner. Judgment time of our dinner. UH OH. We had these chicken wings, lettuce, and, for our grain, a slice of toast. Interesting. Well, they judged on nutrition value and presentation. We get a max of 6 marks for nutrition value, and 4 for presentation. Well, we had a pretty fail presentation, and got a 2 for that. We got 3 for nutrition value, but our chicken wings weren't like really fried, but pretty oily, so I guess we kinda deserved that. At least they said it tasted good. Well, we were probably dead last for that, while some groups got like, 9 for some chocolate banana crepe. I have no idea why they make that sort of thing at camp. It's camp, not a 5 star restaurant. Well, people are looking into that, because it was pretty unfair. Well, next was campfire. We had to have a cheer, a song, and a skit and the people would randomly choose one that we had to do. Well, we decided to make up the skit and song, and our cheer would be the wave. Pretty awesome. Well, here's the song that I made up on the spot. It goes to the tune of Bingo (It might not fit too well. I told you, it was made up on the spot).

There....was a group that failed at everything,
At this challenge ca-amp.
That was u-u-us,
That was u-u-us,
That was u-u-us.
Yes, we fail at everything.

So....we had tried to make some knots,
They had really su-ucked.
They had su-u-ucked,
They had su-u-ucked,
They had su-u-ucked.
Yes our knots ha-ad sucked.

Then we tried to make dinner,
That had really su-ucked.
It had su-u-ucked,
It had su-u-ucked,
It had su-u-ucked.
Yes, our dinner had sucked.

I guess this is the end of our song,
Because it's d-one.
Thank you very much,
Thank you very much,
Thank you very much.
For listening to this fail.

Pretty awesome song, right? Well, at the campfire, we were chosen. We had to do a skit. The problem is, we didn't have time to do the skit. So, I stepped up for our group. I improvised the song, so why not this? So, I called myself Narrator, and I decided to try to name our group. I asked them for their names. We had 4 other people in my group. The first person named himself Character. The second person said I don't know, so I said that that was his name. The third person just shrugged, so I called him Shrugs. The last person said I don't really know either, so I named him that. Then I asked them why they were called those names. The first person said he was called Character because he was a character, and I asked him how long he's been a character, and he said 2 or 3 months. I asked the next person the same thing, and his response was "I don't know." Well, it's pretty obvious now. I asked the third person why he was called Shrugs, and he shrugged. Also pretty obvious. Finally, I asked the last person why he was called I Don't Really Know Either. He said "I don't really know either." Then I said "Well, I've concluded that these people have really stupid names." Glad we got through that. Phew! Well, that's mostly the main events. Oh, did I mention that at the camp, it was cloudy for the whole time, and it was raining and snowing. When the camp was over. The sun finally decided to show its face. Isn't that nice? Well, that's all. Bye!

Weekly Recommendation: Week 10

Ok, week 10 we have here. Oh, that sounded Yoda-ish. Time Jam this Pearl will it be. Well, that's a little too confusing. Ok, this time, it will be Pearl Jam. YOU'VE NEVER HEARD OF PEARL JAM? HOW COULD YOU? Ok, doesn't matter, I'll introduce Pearl Jam to you. Oh, I just realized that I said Ok three times (make that four). Ok, here are the lyrics. Oh, shoot. I said it for the fifth time.

The Fixer

Yeah, hey, hey
When something's dark, let me shed a little light on it
If something's cold, I want to put a little fire on it
If something's old, I want to put a little shine on it
If something's gone, I want to fight to get it back again

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, fight to get it back again
Yeah, yeah, hey, yeah, yeah

When something's broke, I want to put a little fixin' on it
If something's bored, I want to put a little exciting on it
When something's low, I want to put a little high on it
If something's lost, I want to fight to get it back again

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, fight to get it back again
Yeah, yeah, hey, yeah, yeah

When signals cross, I want to put a little straight on it
If there's no love, I want to try to love again

I'll say your prayers, I'll take your side
I'll find us a way to make light
I'll dig your grave, we'll dance and sing
What's saved could be one last lifetime

Hey, hey, hey
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, fight to get it back again
Yeah, yeah, hey, yeah, yeah, fight to get it back again
Yeah, yeah, yeah, fight to get it back again
Hey, yeah, hey, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

As you can see, there are a lot of yeah's. Here's the link: The Fixer-Pearl Jam

Écouter, s`il vous plaît. Merci!

Weekly Recommendation: Week 9

Merry Victoria Day....um...that doesn't make sense...oh whatever.

Well, isn't this nice. I'm starting to run out of ideas. Let's look through my brain.

Scanning brain: 10% completed
                       20% completed
                       30% completed
                       40% completed
                       50% completed

A fatal exception has occured...BLAH BLAH BLAH (not in reference to the song)

Well, my brain seems to be failing right now. Fortunately, I found a nice song before that happened. MEET GOOD CHARLOTTE (believe it or not, Good Charlotte is indeed an alternative band)!

Well, I'm pretty sure this song should be familiar to you. If you don't feel that this is familiar, then you don't really listen to music that much. Just saying. Not insulting you or anything. I'm just saying.

Andrew, here's some meaningful lyrics for you.

The Anthem

(Yeah, here we go)
It's a new day, but it all feels old
It's a good life, that's what I'm told
But everything, it all just feels the same

At my high school, it felt more to me
Like a jail cell, a penitentiary
My time spent there, it only made me see

That I don't ever wanna be like you
I don't wanna do the things you do
I'm never gonna hear the words you say
and I don't ever wanna, I don't ever wanna be

You...don't wanna be just like you
Oh what I'm sayin' is this is the anthem, throw all your hands up,
you... don't wanna be you

Go to college, a university, get a real job,
That's what they said to me
But I could never live the way they want
I'm gonna get by, and just do my time, out of step while, they all
get in line
I'm just a minor threat so pay no mind

Do you really wanna be like them, do you really wanna be another
trend?
Do you wanna be part of that crowd?
'cause I don't ever wanna, I don't ever wanna be

You...don't wanna be just like you
Oh what I'm sayin' is this is the anthem throw all your hands up,
you, don't wanna be you

Shake it once, that's fine
Shake it twice, that's okay
Shake it three times, you're playing with yourself, again.

You...don't wanna be just like you
What I'm sayin' is this is the anthem throw all your hands up,
Y'all got to feel me, sing if you're with me, you, don't wanna
be just like you (just like you)
This is the anthem throw all your hands up, y'all got to feel
me, sing if you're with me
Another loser anthem (whoa-oh)
Another loser anthem (whoa-oh)
Another loser anthem (whoa-oh)
Another loser anthem

VERY MEANINGFUL RIGHT? Anyways, here's the link: The Anthem-Good Charlotte

Enjoy-eth OR ELSE! Nah, I'm just kidding.

What's an official post?

Well, this is an official post!  I call it, "All sorts of random topics stuck onto one rather necessary post". Unfortunately, it's too big to fit the title. Well, actually, it can fit the title, but it's too mixed up.

First random topic: Science!

GAH! Science isn't cool. Well, at least form and function isn't anyways. I don't think being an engineer will be a good career choice later in life. If I ever do become an engineer, you might not want to go into the buildings that I build or design. Just saying. It's not safe.

Second random topic: Random topics!

Have you ever noticed how topics can be so random? It includes this one. Well, randomness, is indeed, something that I do. By the way, I herd you liek Mudkipz :o. Yes, I know I'm random.

Fourth...wait...no third random topic: CAPTAIN OBVIOUS.

This random topic is about Captain Obvious. Yes, he has the most Obvious sayings around, including the first sentence in this random topic. Now, to quote interesting quotes of Captain Obvious.

“People all over the world will have to purchase a new calendar within the next twelve months.”
~ Captain Obvious on the future
“Within two to three years the price of stamps will increase by an amount.”
~ Captain Obvious on the future
“Someone will die today.”
~ Captain Obvious on the future
“Someone will be born today.”
~ Captain Obvious on the future
“You will eat food within the next 30 days.”
~ Captain Obvious on the future
“Tomorrow will be another day.”
~ Captain Obvious on the future
“The future is coming.”
~ Captain Obvious on the future
“Someone will breathe today.”
~ Captain Obvious on the future
“Within two... no, three..., no wait, ok two years, there will be a year that is divisible by 2.”
~ Captain Obvious on the future
“Indeed, current events may become past events, but always remember that there will, now and always, be future events in the future.”
~ Captain Obvious on the future
“In two years time, it will be two years in the future.”
~ Captain Obvious on the future
“I'm not a doctor, but if you don't have your heart put back in your chest, you may die soon.”
~ Captain Obvious on Lack of Medical Training, also the future
“At the sound of the tone, it will be the time it is supposed to be. As in not now, but the future”
~ Captain Obvious on the future
“in one year it will be the present ”
~ Captain Obvious on the future
“Next millenium, you'll be dead.”
~ Captain Obvious on the future
“You can't touch MC Hammer.”
~ Captain Obvious on MC Hammer

Well, that was awesome. (Credits of quotes to Uncyclopedia)

NOW it's the fourth random topic: Music?

Ha, music. I just thought of that right now. I'm currently listening to Yes-Coldplay. Guess what song's after that? If you guessed Strawberry Swing, well, you're wrong. It's Viva la Vida. By the way, Yes is over 7 minutes. Oh! Here are the lyrics (Yes, I know it's pretty random):

Yes-Coldplay

When it started we had high hopes
Now my back's on the line
My back's on the ropes

When it started we were alright
But night makes a fool
of us in the daylight

Then we were dying of frustration
Saying Lord lead me not into temptation
But it’s not easy when she turns you on
Sin, stay gone

If you’d only, if you’d only say yes
Whether you will's anybody’s guess
God only God knows I'm trying my best
But I’m just so tired of this loneliness

Hey

So up they picked me by the big toe
I was held from the rooftop then they let go
Dizzily screaming 'Let the windows down'
As I crawl to the ground

If you'd only if you'd only say yes
Whether you will's anybody's guess
God only God knows she won't let me rest
But I'm just so tired of this loneliness
I've become so tired of this loneliness

Hm...it's missing Chinese Sleep Chant. Ok, hold on.

Wow, until I looked it up, I didn't know that it kept on saying sleep. I only heard the word satisfied. The echoing falsetto doesn't help. Ok, now, I will find one random song on my iTunes library and describe it, or whatever.

~2 minutes later, after a lot of explaining about what's going on.~

Ok, so, with the help of Angie (7H), the song that has been picked is Falling Away With You-Muse.
This song uses acoustic guitar, and starts out pretty quietly, and slowly gets louder. During the first chorus, the drums, ELECTRIC guitar, and bass comes in. It's kind of loud now. Oh, and the acoustic guitar is gone. That sucks, I liked it. Well, the vocals come in again. Chorus...blah blah blah...still the same. Finally, at the end, it gets quiet again. Oh, and the acoustic guitar comes back. There's also this sort of fuzzy noise in the background. It's pretty faint, but it leads into Interlude, which is a lot of fuzzy noise, and then, in my opinion, the best song of Absolution (the album of Falling Away With You), Hysteria comes on.

Well, that's a lot of random stuff. I think I'm done. Bye! Oh, and have a nice long weekend.

Weekly Recommendation: Week 8

Well, thanks to my friend, I have one less week to handle. In a way, it feels better to have one week to deal with. In a way, IT'S RUDE! NO, I DO NOT HAVE A HORRENDOUS TASTE IN MUSIC! I don't, right? For his comments, I strongly disagree. I always have at least 2 official posts. You know these aren't official posts right?

It's been 8 weeks now. How quick! It's already in the middle of May. We're zooming along here. Anyways, here's the Fray! I haven't done the Fray before have I?

Syndicate

Half way around the world lies the one thing that you want
Buried in the ground, hundreds of miles down
The first thing that arises in your mind when you awake
Is bending you 'til you break, let me hold you now

Baby, close your eyes, don't open 'til the morning light
Baby, don't forget, we haven't lost it all yet

Don't know what you're made of 'til the one thing that you want
Is coming with the dawn and suddenly changes
Mundane syndicate meets everyone the same
All we've lost to the flame, listen to me now

Baby, close your eyes, don't open 'til the morning light
Don't ever forget, we haven't lost it all yet
All we know for sure is all that we are fighting for
Baby, don't forget, we haven't lost it all yet

Someday when this is over
We may still have no answer
For now it's when I hold her
We are closer, we are closer
We are closer, we are closer

Baby, close your eyes, don't open 'til the morning light
Don't ever forget, we haven't lost it all yet
And all we know for sure is all that we are fighting for
Baby, don't forget, we haven't lost it all yet

We are closer, we are closer
(We haven't lost it all yet)
We are closer
(We haven't lost it all yet)
We are closer

Ok, week 8 is done. I think i have about another 8 weeks to go. HALFWAY THERE! Almost the end of the school year. And then, SUMMER! Bye!

ORANGE! ORANGE! ORANGE!

Well, once upon a time, there was a little boy named Menan. Menan told me to blog about a little thing called THE ORANGE PEOPLE! Anyways, the red people are violent. They eat eyeballs and drink blood. WINSTON SUPPORTS THIS MOVEMENT OF THE RED PEOPLE. Anyways, the Orange people live simple lives, and do jobs and go to the Olympics and that sort of thing.

This just in, ANDREW WILL NOT BLOG ABOUT THE ORANGE PEOPLE. HE SUPPORTS THE YELLOW PEOPLE. THIS IS ABOUT THE ORANGE PEOPLE. NOT THE RED PEOPLE. NO, I'M NOT SHOUTING, I JUST NEED TO SHOW YOU THAT THIS IS IMPORTANT WITH CAPS.

More breaking news, ARUURAN IS NOT BLOGGING ABOUT THE ORANGE PEOPLE EITHER.

Anyways, moving on. You must support the Orange people movement, because they live awesome lives by doing jobs and going for a good education and whatnot. Oh jeez, I have to go, because we're going back to discuss Red Maple.

Well, that was a long break from blogging. NOW! VOTE FOR THE ORANGE PEOPLE.

QUEBEC????

Well, my trip to Quebec...

HAHA, yeah, right, as if I'm going to talk about my trip to Quebec. Most people are going to do that...I just wanted to mock you....and taunt you....that sort of thing. Well, I'm bored, and I have nothing to do. Well, that's the point of bored. Anyways, my friend's other mix is about to come up in around 4 days. I think it's supposed to be scheduled for the 15th. That's all. Bye!

Weekly Recommendation: Week 7

This isn't Oscar doing this blog. I think he's mentioned once or twice that one of his friends made a mix for him or something like that. Yep, I'm that friend.

Before I say anything else, please don't blame me for Oscar's horrendous taste in music. I HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. It was all his choice and stuffs. Well anyways, onto the weekly recommendation thing that Oscar does. TBH, it's really pointless, because I really don't think anyone actually listens to these songs. -.- It just sounds like a lazy excuse to post some blogs.

Oh look, he's complaining.

Ok with the lyrics thing (it's not like you can't just google the lyrics, but w/e. Gotta make it look like this blog has something in it).

Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars

We'll do it all
Everything
On our own

We don't need
Anything
Or anyone

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me
And just forget the world?

I don't quite know
How to say
How I feel

Those three words
Are said too much
They're not enough

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me
And just forget the world?

Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden
That's bursting into life

Let's waste time
Chasing cars
Around our heads

I need your grace
To remind me
To find my own

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me
And just forget the world?

Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden
That's bursting into life

All that I am
All that I ever was
Is here in your perfect eyes
They're all I can see

I don't know where
Confused about how as well
Just know that these things
Will never change for us at all

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me
And just forget the world?

Link: Snow Patrol-Chasing Cars

Well that was easy.

Bye.
Yours truly, Oscar's friend.

Weekly Recommendation: Week 6

Another song today. Obviously. It's Monday again! Don't we all hate Mondays? Anyways, here's something by the Broken Bells (never heard of them?).

The High Road

We're bound to wait all night
She's bound to run amok
Invested enough in it anyhow,
To each his own
The Garden is sorting out
She curls her lips on a bow
I don't know if you're dead or not
To anyone

Come on and get the minimum
Before you open up your eyes,
This army has so many heads
To analyze...
Come on and get your overdose
Collect it at the borderline
And they want to get up in your head...

[Chorus]
Cause they know and so do I
The high road is hard to find
A detour in your new life
Tell all of your friends goodbye

The dawn to end all nights
That's all we hoped it was
A break from the warfare in your house
To each his own...
A soldier is bailing out
And curled his lips on the barrel
And I don't know if the dead can talk
To anyone...

Come on and get the minimum
Before you open up your eyes
This army has so many hands
Are you one of us?
Come on and get your overdose
Collect it at the borderline
And they want to get up in your head

[Chorus]
Cause they know and so do I
The high road is hard to find
A detour to your new life
Tell all of your friends goodbye

It's too late to change your mind
You let loss be your guide...

It's too late to change your mind
You let loss be your guide...

It's too late to change your mind
You let loss be your guide...

It's too late to change your mind
You let loss be your guide...

Well, April is gone, and we're actually in Quebec right now. This was scheduled a few weeks before. Isn't that awesome? Anyways, here's the link. The High Road-Broken Bells

Just 2 months to go until the end of school! We're so close to summer vacation, you can almost feel it. Bye!

Reviewing "A Work of Art"

Well, my friend and I were chatting on MSN one day (yes, a lot of people chat on MSN these days) and he said that since we like the same music (he likes Muse too. What a surprise!), we can try swapping other things we like and see what we thought of it. Of course, he already made his mix. I was making mine, and I called it "The Mix". He called his "A Work of Art". Finally, we have to review each other's mix. Now, I'm no genius at criticism, but I think that I'm okay with reviewing. This is his song tracklist: (He also had one Muse and Coldplay song, but since we both like Muse and Coldplay, we took it out)
(I bet you've never heard of half of these bands) (The song name goes first and then the band name after. i.e. The Pie Song-The Pie People) (I am using a lot of brackets)

1. Try Me-Of a Revolution
2. Disarm-Smashing Pumpkins
3. No Line on the Horizon-U2 (Probably one band you heard of)
4. Nude-Radiohead (Another band you've heard of?)
5. Human-The Killers
6. Kid-The Living End
7. Interlude-Your Damien Grace
8. Falling Down-Oasis
9. Substitution-Silversun Pickups
10. Wheels-Foo Fighters
11. A Beautiful Lie-30 Seconds to Mars
12. I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor-Arctic Monkeys
13. Dani California-Red Hot Chili Peppers (I was surprised by this one, too)

Now, on to the review, which is probably going to take me a while.

1. Try Me-Of a Revolution

There are 10/13 bands that I've heard of in this mix that I've heard of before this mix. This is not one of them. The first track of "A Work of Art". The chorus is very catchy. The tune is good, too

7/10

2. Disarm-Smashing Pumpkins

It starts with acoustic guitar, and gets into more instruments as the song progresses. The chorus is really good, too.

8/10

3. No Line on the Horizon-U2

U2 wasn't a group that I really liked, but this song is great. I was surprised to find out that this was from their 12th studio album, which was released about a year ago. Believe it or not, U2 originally started in Ireland, in 1976. The guitar tune is catchy, and so are the lyrics.

9/10

4. Nude-Radiohead

Well, isn't this an unusual song. It starts with this melody, with the singer singing in high falsetto. Then, the bass comes in. Finally, the lyrics, which are kind of slurred, so I can't really make them out. Radiohead isn't something I'm a fan of, but this is alright. It repeats the phrase "Can't put the needle in" a lot though. At least, that's what the lyrics site says.

7/10

5. Human-The Killers

WOW. First, there's this really good tune, which I have no idea what instrument plays it, then the lyrics. The "Are we human, or are we dancers" part at the end of the chorus is probably the best.

9/10

6. Kid-The Living End

Wow, it sort of sounds like a kids show tune. Perfect title, eh? But, the lyrics say "Keep it up, keep it up, you're gonna kill the kid". This sounds nothing like the first song I heard of by The Living End, which is "Prisoner of Society", which was like this super hard rock song, and then this, all of a sudden becomes mellow. Nonetheless, it's still pretty good.

8/10

7. Interlude-Your Damien's Grace

It doesn't really have much to do with "Kid", but it does kind of link up to the next song, not really though, but it sounds really cool. It sounds like a spacey sort of tune. First there's this tune which is sort of like on endless repeat, and then a bell and bass comes in. Like I said, it sounds really cool.

8/10

8. Falling Down-Oasis

A sort of relaxing tune at the beginning, but after the static noise. Then, the drums and acoustic guitars come in. The lyrics are good and the tune is even better.

9/10

9. Substitution-Silversun Pickups

The beginning, I swear, sounds exactly like "Don't Panic-Coldplay". The lyrics are great. The first stanza is already great:

There's a vulture perching right off screen
And it's bitter and whispers chaotic things
And it reached in quick ain't it worrying
It's so easy to see, everyone can agree, stop listening

See?

9/10

10. Wheels-Foo Fighters

Nice intro to the song, chorus is really catchy.

8/10

11. A Beautiful Lie-30 Seconds to Mars

A quiet piano intro, and then the basic electric guitar and drums and that stuff. The fact that it can be from quiet to loud all of a sudden makes the song really good.

7/10

12. I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor-Arctic Monkeys

I really like the intro, and it works well in this fast-paced song. The lyrics are pretty good, too.

8/10

13. Dani California-Red Hot Chili Peppers

Starts with drum, then adds guitar and bass. This type of music is seems familiar, but I can't put my finger on it. The guitar and bass are pretty cool, and the lyrics are pretty directed to USA.

8/10

Well, the mix was pretty good overall, some are better than others of course.

Overall score: 8/10

I guess that's all from my terrible review. My friend is unbelievably lucky that I'm terrible at reviewing things. I just score too lightly. Anyways, I guess that's all. Now, I have to wait for my friend to hurry up with his review for my mix. Oh, here's the tracklist:

1. Aggro-The Enemy
2. A Place for My Head-Linkin Park
3. I'm Just a Kid-Simple Plan (explicit, watch out)
4. All the Right Moves-OneRepublic
5. Munich-The Editors
6. Dance, Dance-Fall Out Boy
7. The River-Good Charlotte
8. Prisoner of Society-The Living End (Remember them?)
9. Remembering Sunday-All Time Low
10. Use Somebody-Kings of Leon

Making this mix was also the first time I ever tried Photoshop, and actually succeeded, or at least, finish it without failing miserably. That's all. Bye!

Weekly Recommendation: Week 5

Wow, 5 weeks already. Time's going by quickly, eh? Anyways, here's a song that sounds kind of repetitive, but still catchy, by MGMT.

Kids

You were a child,
crawlin' on your knees toward it.
Makin' mama so proud,
but your voice was too loud.

We like to watch you laughing.
You pick the insects off plants.
No time to think of consequences.

Control yourself.
Take only what you need from it.
A family of trees wantin',
To be haunted.

Control yourself.
Take only what you need from it.
A family of trees wantin',
To be haunted.

The water is warm,
but it's sending me shivers.
A baby is born,
crying out for attention.
Memories fade,
like looking through a fogged mirror
Decision to decisions are made and not bought
But I thought,
this wouldn't hurt a lot.
I guess not.

Control yourself.
Take only what you need from it.
A family of trees wantin',
To be haunted.

Control yourself.
Take only what you need from it.
A family of trees wantin',
To be haunted.

Control yourself.
Take only what you need from it.
A family of trees wantin',
To be haunted.

Control yourself.
Take only what you need from it.
A family of trees wantin',
To be haunted.

Control yourself.
Take only what you need from it.
A family of trees wantin',
To be haunted.

Control yourself.
Take only what you need from it.
A family of treeeeees...

Yea, there it is. Anyways, here's the link: Kids-MGMT

I think the lyrics that they have are incorrect but you can just ignore it. Like I said, it's unbelievably catchy. Enjoy!

The Shepherd's Granddaughter

So, I have just read "The Shepherd's Granddaughter" a couple of days ago, and, from the letter, I was expecting a lot of violence. Okay, not really, but at least a little more than what was actually in the book. I also read the letter by...uh...let's see....Brian Henry against the book. I really liked the book, and I don't really think that they should ban it. It is fiction isn't it? It's not supposed to be real. Even though it's close. Reading the book gave me a feel about what the letter was talking about. I agree with Peter Carver, from the article "Not wise to ban children's book", who says that "Young readers are eager to engage with world issues. We are the next generation to make a change. We can help. Just like global warming right? On a personal opinion, I think that it's only the Palestinian view, and it's biased because of that. It's because of the fact that most of the Israelis that they have met or seen were destroying land of theirs. Now, it could be because of the terrorists that they were destroying property, but Amani knows that not all Israelis are attacking Palestinian land. She knows the rabbi, who does go against this attack. So, even from a Palestinian's viewpoint, What Amani's uncle said ("No Israeli is innocent") is probably very biased and absolutely not true. So, in the end, I'd have to agree with both sides, but this book should not be banned. Young readers need to know what is happening in the world. I can say this myself, because until the speech competition, I didn't know about this problem. I explored it even deeper when I was reading the book. I'll give a short summary to answer Mr. Gould's questions.

Overall, I think that the book "The Shepherd's Granddaughter" should not be withdrawn from the Red Maple competition. It is directed at YA readers, and we should know about what's happening to teens around our age in the world. Overall, everyone should have the right to decide what gets put on the Red Maple competition, but if that's not possible, then I would trust whoever is currently deciding what gets put in Red Maple, because they have given us different perspectives from all over the world, like in Ireland, Uganda, and Israel, from Lunch with Lenin, Greener Grass, The Shepherd's Granddaughter, After, and War Brothers. I think that the YA readers themselves should decide whether a book should be put in a library or not. We should have a trusted judgment, because other readers like us are going to read those same books, and we all would have almost the same perspective.

Anyways, that's over 200 words, but definitely not a wrap up yet. That was the end of the official post. You can stop here if you want.

Because you've been reading my dead-serious post, I've decided to lighten the mood a little. I will think of 15 random music artists (NO JUSTIN BIEBER OR ANY OF THAT DISNEY STUFF) in 2 minutes. READY. SET. GO!

Ok, done, with about 10 seconds left on the clock. Here they are!

Muse
Coldplay
Nirvana
Pearl Jam
Silversun Pickups
Wintersleep
Billy Talent
Nickelback
The Killers
Oasis
Foo Fighters
Arctic Monkeys
The Fray
U2
Jimmy Eat World

Now, the entertaining part. Aren't you lucky that they aren't all alternative. I will think of one song for each of these artists. No, I'm not timing this. It's not like you're getting the feel of me being timed anyways. That was just to challenge me.

Weekly Recommendation: Week 4

It's been a month now, and I DOUBT ANY OF YOU HAVE LISTENED TO ANYTHING! Anyways, here's another song that's from my friend's mix (Substitution was the first). This is by Starfield, which apparently, is very Christian.

Declaration of Dependence

This is my heart's condition
This world has ammunition
To tear me down and steal my life away
I know there's more than this
More than temptation's kiss
So lift me up and give me strength to say

I will live
I will live for you
I will live
I will live for you

I've had the revelation
This is my declaration
More of you oh God and less of me
Cause you are my new existence
I offer no resistance
I'm running to the One I know I need

I will live
I will live for you
I will live
I will live for you

Anyways, that's all. Here's the link, too.

The intro is definitely my favourite part. What about you? LISTEN TO IT TO FIND OUT. Bye!

Monday, April 12, 2010

Weekly Recommendation: Week 3

Wow, isn't it quiet around lately? Have you noticed? Don't worry, I noticed for you. Anyways, here's week 3: Silversun Pickups.

Substitution

There's a vulture perching right off screen
And it's bitter and whispers chaotic things
And it reached in quick ain't it worrying
It's so easy to see, everyone can agree, stop listening

I know you've heard it before
But then it wasn't enough
You don't wanna be held back from the substitution
I know you've seen this before
And now enough is too much
You don't wanna be set back when the substitution comes
I'm sorry

You're a marionette in the center of
All the twisting strings coming from above
It may seem too deep to recover from
It's so easy to see, everyone can agree, just let it go

I know you've heard it before
But then it wasn't enough
You don't wanna be held back from the substitution
I know you've seen this before
And now enough is too much
You don't wanna be set back when the substitution comes
I'm sorry
I'm sorry

When the voices start spinning just be aware
I have brought enough stones for us to share
That one's grinning that one's burning, aim for the throat
Let him choke on the stones that we are to throw

It's the great downfall
Not the overthrow
If you shoot them down
It'll make you soar

When reactions turn into hurricanes
And the middle course seems a little tame
Whether full or empty it's all the same
It's so easy to see, everyone can agree, you're not to blame

I know you've heard it before
But then it wasn't enough
You don't wanna be held back from the substitution
I know you've seen this before
but now enough is too much
You don't wanna be set back when the substitution comes
I'm sorry

I don't think you're actually listening to any of this. I've asked Tina nicely to listen to Starlight last week. She listened to it. She said it was good. Remember, Starlight is by Muse. So, you know that my taste in music is at least alright. So, please listen?

It's no life or death situation. Well, think of it as one. As in: TRY IT.

Switching things up

Well, to make some space for The Shepherd's Granddaughter post, (and get something ready for next month), I will move the review to May. Also, my friend made another mix. I'm going to review it, too. But, just marks. Some reasons, and that's all. It's also going to be put in May.

Weekly Recommendation: Week 2

Yes, it's Muse's turn. Don't complain, this song is the most popular. Yes, it is. I'm not kidding.

Starlight

Far away
This ship has taken me far away
Far away from the memories
Of the people who care if I live or die

Starlight
I will be chasing a starlight
Until the end of my life
I don't know if it's worth it anymore

Hold you in my arms
I just wanted to hold
You in my arms

My life
You electrify my life
Lets conspire to ignite
All the souls that would die just to feel alive

I'll never let you go
If you promise not to fade away
Never fade away

Our hopes and expectations
Black holes and revelations
Our hopes and expectations
Black holes and revelations

Hold you in my arms
I just wanted to hold
You in my arms

Far away
The ship has taken me far away
Far away from the memories
Of the people who care if I live or die

And I'll never let you go
If you promise not to fade away
Never fade away

Our hopes and expectations
Black holes and revelations, yeah
Our hopes and expectations
Black holes and revelations

Hold you in my arms
I just wanted to hold
You in my arms
I just wanted to hold

Here's the link, too: Starlight-Muse

You will listen to it, right? Please say you will.

Enjoy your last day of Easter holiday!

The concert

So, about a month ago, I went to a Muse concert (big surprise right?). I used a dollar. You know what for? I gave it to my friend for guessing the first 4 songs right. I knew for sure that that the first 2 songs were Uprising and Resistance, but then he even guessed New Born and Map of the Problematique. Anyways, the concert was still pretty good. Their support was the Silversun Pickups. Ugh...I wish I brought my camera. Anyways, that's all.

UGH! I CAN'T BELIEVE I LOST A DOLLAR! HE ACTUALLY GUESSED THE FIRST 4 SONGS RIGHT? IMPOSSIBLE!

Wait, I'm still typing? Whoops! Bye!

Idioms that don't really make sense to me

So, I've decided that it's been a good life blogging here. I'll move out of this web link. I'll tell Mr. Gould though. HAHAHAHAHA.

Audience: LIAR!!!

Um...no....I'm not lying...ok fine...I am lying. Anyways, on to the real post.

Well, I've been wanting to do this for a while now. I've heard some crazy idioms. I often know what they mean, but, sometimes, I have no idea how it's supposed to mean it. So, I'll post it up, and see if you get it.

Break a leg- This is one we've all heard, but I have no idea how it represents good luck. Breaking a leg is bad luck.

Can't cut the mustard- I haven't heard this one much, an I had no idea what it meant. I searched it up, and I found out that it's someone that isn't adequate enough to compete. Well, I guess that's everyone, because no one can really cut the mustard. Who cuts mustard?

Dead ringer- Completely identical. Wow, I have no idea how "dead ringer" means completely identical.

Eighty six- No more. What? I don't know how that makes sense.

Get your walking papers-To get fired

Green room-The waiting room

Kick the bucket-Die. So...you die when you kick a bucket? Yes, we've all heard this one.

Twenty three skidoo- To be turned away. Um...what?

Well, that's mostly it. Anyone have any idea? They're all confusing to me. Especially kick the bucket. This one is the most funniest to me:

Van Gogh's ear for music- To be tone deaf. This is pretty unusual. They use Van Gogh because he only had 1 ear.

Anyways, I guess that's all. The review is coming along...pretty badly. Have I ever mentioned that I'm no good at reviewing? Bye!

Weekly Recommendation

So, I know most of you hate my taste in music, but there are some songs out there that you'll probably like that I like. My absolute favourite song by Coldplay (Not Muse, because a few of you actually think Coldplay is decent) including b-sides and everything is "A Spell a Rebel Yell". The instrumentals are amazing, but half of the lyrics I can't understand, so I will search it up and paste them here.

A Spell a Rebel Yell

As far as I can see
All time and circuitry
Is wrong
As far as poetry
Sit down and sing to me
A song

It's 'cause all I want in this world
All I want in this world
Is for you to come home

A spell, a rebel yell
A spell

Soldier, come home to me
You've been away from me
So long

All I want in this world
All I want and deserve
Is for you to come home

A spell, a rebel yell
A spell, a rebel yell
A spell, a rebel yell
A spell, a rebel yell

Oh-oh-oh

A spell, a rebel yell
A spell, a rebel yell
A spell
A spell, a rebel yell
A spell, a rebel yell

Yes, all of my recommendations are probably going to be alternative. Yes, I'm doing this weekly. Yes, I'm saying yes too much. GET OVER IT. Oh, here's the link:
A Spell A Rebel Yell-Coldplay

Please actually listen to it. I don't recommend things for no reason.

Enjoy! (Even though you might not)

What's a Earth Hour?

Well, It's been 24 hours since Earth Hour yesterday. I was at a restaurant, which had to keep the lights on, because a lot of bad things could happen if the lights were turned off...

WORSE CASE SCENARIO

Person 1: Where's that steak of mine? Oh well, I guess I have to just poke around with my fork.

*pokes around with a fork*

Ah ha! I think I found it!

Person 2: Um...nope, you found my arm. WITH your fork.

Person 1: Oops, sorry...I still haven't found my steak yet...

Anyways, my family still participated in Earth Hour, because we had turned off everything while we were gone! Aren't we an environmental family? Anyways, that's all.

The other impossible quiz

Oh look, I'm done this one too. I'm not posting the answers this time. This one is a lot harder than the first one. But, here is my trophy, handed to me by Chris the cat!

See? I'm so proud. Thanks for reading!

Random whatnot

So, one day, I was on the computer, looking at my evil twin's blog. I notice that there are only 3 FOLLOWERS! Plus, one of them isn't even in 7G! If you are going to keep track of someone's life (which you probably wouldn't even care about anyways), then you should follow the blog. Here's the link. My brother is such a hacker.

Remember, you're doing someone a favour!

Curious person: Who?

Me: I have no idea! JUST FOLLOW IT!

Coins?

Uh oh, March break is almost over! Even worse, today is Friday of March break, which means it's almost over! Anyways, coins are cool. You're surprised aren't you? I have 13/14 of the official 2010 Vancouver Olympic coins in the collection. That's not good. I NEED ONE MORE! Which one? Well, I probably told all of you. It's this one!

Yes, it's this one. The sledge hockey coin. Sledge hockey is basically Paralympic hockey. They have 2 sticks, one in each hand, and their legs are strapped onto this board with something that looks like a skate on the bottom.

So, do you have it? If so, I WANT IT. That's all I'm saying. If any of you are willing to kindly donate one (if you have one) I will take it, to be polite. Or, we can trade. I have a lot of coins. Probably about 50 dollars of special coins. It's just a guess, I don't really know. Or, I can trade just a regular quarter. I don't think I should be doing this. Oh well, it's for fun. Bye! (Andrew, I will not trade you my hockey coin if you don't have some coin that I want in return!)

Discussing the busy weekend

Oh my goodness! This is probably the busiest weekend I have ever had in MONTHS! *glares at speech*

Speech: What did I do?

Me: YOU! You were the one that caused me all this trouble! If you weren't here, then this wouldn't be a problem.

Speech: *sniff*

Anyways, it's very busy! I have a day camp tomorrow from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, leaving about 3 or 4 hours to practice my speech. On Sunday, I have to go to my friend's house for his birthday party. That's always a whole day thing, so I probably won't get any speech time then. I hope Mr Gould will give me Wednesday when Menan goes to France. Good luck to me!

WAIT...WHAT? I NEVER POSTED THIS YET? Well, it's too late now. Oh well. That was written on March 5th. Today is the 16th. Amazing. I can't believe I didn't post this yet. Bye!

Speeches (And life and all that)

Well, today I had spoken my speech (because, what else are they for...burning? ...Don't answer that.) and it was okay! I hope I got a good mark, because Mr. Gould said my content and presentation was pretty balanced (apart from the awkward walking...heh heh). I didn't seem nervous at all, and time flew right by. I've had experience before, but...i think I lost the speech. Well, I do have it, but it's a hard copy. I'm not typing it out here. Oh well. Bye!

If you finish all 110 questions, good for you! Don't worry, it takes practice. It took me a year, so you get the point. Good luck and have fun!
