Awesome camps we have, eh?

Did you see what I did there with the title? I'm Canadian. That's awesome. Anyways, onto the post.

So, one day, I was at camp (Yes, it was Scouts...STOP LAUGHING...that is, if you are laughing...ahem, Tracy...*cough cough*), minding my own business, when suddenly, events popped up at the camp. WE HAD TO DO THESE EVENTS! Well, partly because it was a challenge camp. I think our group was probably dead last. Our first event was fire building. The objective was to build this pile of wood up to 1 foot high so you can burn this piece of string. There was some bad news and no good news. OK, what kind of news do you want to hear first? Bad news number 1, or bad news number 2? To go in numeric and chronological (big and not understandable words, as you see) order, I will start with bad news number 1. OK, bad news number one is, we didn't get the fire to burn the string. We had a great fire, but it didn't burn the string. Bad news number 2, we don't get points for the awesome pile of wood we had built. IT LOOKED LIKE THE OLYMPIC TORCH! Well, anyways, we had failed that. Nothing was as interesting as that until dinner. Judgment time of our dinner. UH OH. We had these chicken wings, lettuce, and, for our grain, a slice of toast. Interesting. Well, they judged on nutrition value and presentation. We get a max of 6 marks for nutrition value, and 4 for presentation. Well, we had a pretty fail presentation, and got a 2 for that. We got 3 for nutrition value, but our chicken wings weren't like really fried, but pretty oily, so I guess we kinda deserved that. At least they said it tasted good. Well, we were probably dead last for that, while some groups got like, 9 for some chocolate banana crepe. I have no idea why they make that sort of thing at camp. It's camp, not a 5 star restaurant. Well, people are looking into that, because it was pretty unfair. Well, next was campfire. We had to have a cheer, a song, and a skit and the people would randomly choose one that we had to do. Well, we decided to make up the skit and song, and our cheer would be the wave. Pretty awesome. Well, here's the song that I made up on the spot. It goes to the tune of Bingo (It might not fit too well. I told you, it was made up on the spot).

There....was a group that failed at everything,
At this challenge ca-amp.
That was u-u-us,
That was u-u-us,
That was u-u-us.
Yes, we fail at everything.

So....we had tried to make some knots,
They had really su-ucked.
They had su-u-ucked,
They had su-u-ucked,
They had su-u-ucked.
Yes our knots ha-ad sucked.

Then we tried to make dinner,
That had really su-ucked.
It had su-u-ucked,
It had su-u-ucked,
It had su-u-ucked.
Yes, our dinner had sucked.

I guess this is the end of our song,
Because it's d-one.
Thank you very much,
Thank you very much,
Thank you very much.
For listening to this fail.

Pretty awesome song, right? Well, at the campfire, we were chosen. We had to do a skit. The problem is, we didn't have time to do the skit. So, I stepped up for our group. I improvised the song, so why not this? So, I called myself Narrator, and I decided to try to name our group. I asked them for their names. We had 4 other people in my group. The first person named himself Character. The second person said I don't know, so I said that that was his name. The third person just shrugged, so I called him Shrugs. The last person said I don't really know either, so I named him that. Then I asked them why they were called those names. The first person said he was called Character because he was a character, and I asked him how long he's been a character, and he said 2 or 3 months. I asked the next person the same thing, and his response was "I don't know." Well, it's pretty obvious now. I asked the third person why he was called Shrugs, and he shrugged. Also pretty obvious. Finally, I asked the last person why he was called I Don't Really Know Either. He said "I don't really know either." Then I said "Well, I've concluded that these people have really stupid names." Glad we got through that. Phew! Well, that's mostly the main events. Oh, did I mention that at the camp, it was cloudy for the whole time, and it was raining and snowing. When the camp was over. The sun finally decided to show its face. Isn't that nice? Well, that's all. Bye!
