Best and Worst Songs (In MY (Not Your) Opinion)

HELLO THERE! I AM REPORTING ON CHRISTMAS EVE AND IT'S VERY COLD AND WINDY. Ahem....my bad. I'm not outside. I'm not a weather reporter. I don't plan on being a weather reporter. I don't like snow. I ESPECIALLY don't like being outside in the snow. It's WAY too cold. I like autumn. Not too cold. I don't like spring because....hey...this isn't about music. Okay...let's begin before I waste any more words. This shall be about the best and worst songs over the period of...ever. Remember, this is my opinion. The opinions and views expressed here do not necessarily represent those of the other classmates. In fact, I'm pretty sure that no one has the same opinions as me. So, we'll start with the top 3 songs of Oscar's opinion. So! HERE ARE MY TOP 3 SONGS!!!!!

3. Hyper Music-Muse

Hyper Music is great. It has this upbeat guitar tune that I can't get enough of. Basically all the reason that I've placed this 3rd.

2. Hit the Floor-Linkin Park

The chorus is really catchy. Here's the chorus, but you'll probably need to actually hear the song to get what I mean.

(One minute you're on top)
The next you're not, watch it drop
(Making your heart stop)
Just before you hit the floor
(One minute you're on top)
Next you're not, missed your shot
(Making you're heart stop)
You think you've won
(And then its all gone)

Like I said, you'll need to actually hear it, but some of you might not like it. My opinion, of course. Next!!!! NUMBER 1!!

1. Uprising-Muse

I don't know why I like it so much, but I just do. But the chorus is pretty good.

So that was my top 3! Next up, since 3 just won't cut it, I've made the top 10 worst songs. This is where most of you will disagree. It's been tough, but here it is.

10. TiK ToK-Ke$ha

The song isn't bad, but isn't good. It's not the song that's put TiK ToK into number 10. It's the music video. SHE LOOKS DRUNK. Also, I've seen the video about 5 times thanks to my sister, so that doesn't make it any better.

9. 7 Things-Miley Cyrus

You don't need to sing about the 7 things you hate about him. If you don't like him, JUST DUMP THE GUY. Simple enough? I think so. NEXT!

8. The Climb-Miley Cyrus

Once again, it's mainly the video that put this song in its place. I mean, why do you need to need to take off your coat and your boots? If you take off your boots, then your feet get hurt from climbing. Leaving the case doesn't really help either. Your guitar wouldn't be protected! Now, we don't want that to happen right? Exactly. NEXT!

7. SOS-Jonas Brothers

Ahem...calling for an SOS just because some girl broke up with you or whatever isn't needed. Just get over it. I mean, you don't need Save Our Souls. Your souls will mend sooner or later.

6. Love Bug-Jonas Brothers

You know, I didn't think that the Jonas Brothers were half bad a long time ago. Now, they've got all this mushy stuff, and it's ruined them. I mean, LOVE BUG? I'll leave it at that. Just remember...a bug of love doesn't exist.

5. Party in the USA-Miley Cyrus

The song isn't good, and the music video made it worse. A US flag just comes out of no where. GOOD WORK. You know, 8 year old girls look up to you. You're supposed to be a role model. You're outfit doesn't really help with that.

4. First Dance-Justin Bieber

I don't like Justin Bieber. His music just isn't good, but Usher ALMOST made it better. Almost.

We're almost done! Now, here comes the top 3 worst songs EVER! In my opinion, of course. Guess who they're all by?

3. One Less Lonely Girl-Justin Bieber

Like I said before, his music isn't any good, BUT THE MUSIC VIDEO. That's just sad. I mean, you send a girl on a treasure hunt just so they can get their scarf back, and besides, if you have one less lonely girl, then what about the rest of the lonely girls? They will just feel even more lonely.

2. Love Me-Justin Bieber

I'm pretty sure that you have enough girls loving you. You don't need any more. I'll leave it at that.

FINALLY, NUMBER 1!! It is......

1. One Time-Justin Bieber

There are so many things wrong with this. We'll start with the song. Didn't you say that you were going to say it ONE TIME? Not one thousand times? Okay, that was a little exaggerated, but he did say it a lot of times. Also, how old is he? 15? 16? His voice is so high, you'd doubt he's hit puberty yet. Now, the music video. What's with all the pointing? Pointing is rude, you know. All those hand gestures just make the video weird.

That's all! I hope you've enjoyed my post, although all the Bieber fans will hate me. Actually, they already do hate me. I guess that's all. I'll post in the New Year, perhaps even New Year's Day. BYE!

My...other camp which was better

Oh look...another camp. Camps make me miserable sometimes...some are better than others....hmm...I believe I need a witty comment here or something to attract your attention. Now...let me see....what is there....*looks at list of witty comments* Ah! here's one that works..."describe how camps make me miserable sometimes" Hmm....seems I already did that....and it doesn't seem witty....let's try something else...*looks again*...here's one that works..."describe endless use of dots"...hmm...ok...we'll try it....hmm....I've just noticed how many dots I've been using...I'm feeling a little dotty eh? Heh heh....not as great as I thought. Ok...now to talk about my camp. It all started on a dark fall night in October...I went over to my camp which was a long drive away. There were the troops (12-16 years old) and the cubs (8-11 years old).We didn't do much that night. We had hot chocolate and went to bed. The next morning, we had breakfast. We had a hike and saw a scout's shop. After that, we went back to our cottage. The troops played Risk for about 3 or 4 hours. We were also trying to make floating lanterns with plastic bags. Most of the bags melted, and one got off the ground a little bit. We had dinner, and we had a campfire. That was about it for the night. The next morning, we didn't do much either. We had our Scout's Own after breakfast. We had lunch after, and the camp was over. Pretty basic, and definitely better than the other camp. I guess that's all. I'll post again later in the month probably. Bye!

My...great....not really....it was a bit of a nightmare...camp :(

Bonjour! Je m'appelle Oscar! Je suis ici...HEY! You! Translator guy! GET OUT OF HERE! Ok. Now that that was handled, let's get started! I will be talking about my awesome camp! *adds comment like "Sarcasm or verbal irony has been applied to previous sentence"* So, to start off, I'll talk about this camp. 4 people in my scout group are going to a camp. There is more than 4 people in our group, by the way. So the camp is for APL and PL. Wondering what that is? Well I'm not surprised! It stands for assistant patrol leader and patrol leader. I know...it's very nice...we don't need to talk about it. Anyways, we got to the camp, and there were a bunch of other scout groups, too. So, we set up our tents and everything. We had 4 events in the afternoon that day. They were about leadership, doing the flag break ceremony, teamwork, and the other one, I couldn't remember. You can't blame me, it was a month ago. After, it was the part that made the camp miserable. It all started with 1 problem. 1 BIG problem, actually. We were missing something. Something important. WATER. Liquid to survive on. WE WERE DOOMED!!!! Well, there were other groups, so we asked for some water. We tried to boil it, but someone in our group failed at pumping gas into the stove. We got help with that and the stove started working. Eventually we cooked cup noodles. Then, there was a bathroom problem. There was no bathroom! Fun, right? We had to go outdoors. I ended up going once in the entire camp. One time. Oh look. The name of a song I don't like. At least there's a better reason for me to not like it. I'm getting off topic, so I'll continue. During the time the water was boiling, we tried to light the lamp. I wasn't doing that, so no one can blame me. Well, at first, the lamp was also failing, we couldn't light it up either. Eventually, we got it light up, and it scared the 2 people that were lighting it half to death. Why? It's because the whole lamp burst into flames. It fell to the floor. The grass caught on fire and the lamp started working normally. We picked up the lamp and the fire was stomped out. Around that time, we were told that our tent wasn't waterproof. We didn't have enough of those peg things. Fortunately, it didn't rain that night. Except we were still not done. Since we didn't have enough water, we didn't cook all the food. In fact, we didn't cook 3/4 of the food, and since we were outdoors, we had to watch out for racoons. OR BEARS. Also, the whole cooler of food weighed about 20 lbs, so finding a tree branch that would hold the whole thing was tough. Eventually, we found a tree branch. We weren't sure if the branch would hold the cooler. I suggested that we sleep in shifts, but everyone knew that wasn't happening. We were all tired from a miserable camp. We crawled into our tents and went to sleep. At that time, it was 11:00 p.m. Fortunately, the next morning, we saw that all our food was still on the branch. That morning, we started packing up most of our stuff, sleeping bags, flashlight, something like that. We still had breakfast, and 4 more events to go. Breakfast was way better than dinner. Another group offered to help us. We gave them some of our food, and they cooked it all. We had a normal breakfast. We had the 4 events, and I really had to go to the washroom again. I held it in all the way until we left and got to a Tim Hortons to get me something to drink. Over a period of 23 hours, I had less than 1 L of water to drink. At least it was over. I felt so tired, and I still had to finish up some homework. Eventually, I did and had a good night's sleep. The end. Well, it's not the end. It's just the end of my story of my miserable camp. So, now it's the end. I am done for November. See you in December! By the way, I don't like snow. It's too cold. I'm just telling you more about me. Bye!

Lest We Forget

HI!!! Since we are moving into the month November, I am making a post about remembrance day. It's also one of the requirements of this month. So, I will talk about the battle of Vimy Ridge. I saw the pictures in the link that Mr. Gould posted. They were of soldiers fighting. Some even died! It's amazing what people will go through to keep the peace in the world, and it's terrible that people decide to create a war. It's sad that people will try to kill others. The people in war were sleeping in these tiny wooden beds..it looked terrible. We remember why we are free. We remember how these people put themselves through a living nightmare so everyone else can be happy. They put their lives on the line, and I'll we can do is remember those who died for 2 minutes. If this is all we can do, then we should do it, because WWI lasted for years, and we think about them for 2 minutes. If you don't, then you don't care about your peace in this world. I guess that's all I have to say. Since today is already the 28th, I will probably make my other post tomorrow. Blogger out! Ugh...that sounded so cheesy. Bye!

Personal Favourites

HELLO! Welcome to a new post at Osc's Odd Blog, brought to you by OSC Project Inc.! Give them a round of applause! *clap clap clap* Alright, that's enough. So, today I will be talking about my personal favourites and dislikes. *clap clap clap* Alright, enough clapping, you're too kind. Now, I have been sort of talking about that kind of stuff on my profile. *clap clap clap* STOP CLAPPING!!! Wait...why did you clap then anyways? Ok...it's time for the audience to leave and go see a therapist or something. So, where was I...ah yes. As I was saying I already kind of talked about it on my profile, but now, I'll go into greater detail. If I don't, it's won't be 200 words long and it wouldn't be a proper post. *audience laughs* HEY! I TOLD YOU TO LEAVE!!! Anyways, I'll start with something simple... BOOKS! Yes...wait, even better. I'll just list the favourites and then I'll describe them. Here it goes:

Book(s): My favourite is the Harry Potter series. They are always exciting and always has an excellent plot. The best, I would say, is the Deathly Hallows. Why else would people pay $50 just to buy it? It's was so exciting, that I finished the whole book in 3 days! I mean, people run away from school, go on a hunt to find these items and finally, de- wait...I'm not going to tell you anymore. NEXT!

Music: I prefer all sorts of music, but in music groups, my favourites are Linkin Park, and Muse. I'll bet that most of you have never heard of Muse. Am I right? I probably am! My favourite song from Linkin Park is Hit the Floor. For Muse, it's Uprising. Listen to it. IT'S GOOD. I know only 3 other people that have heard of Muse and listens to them (One is Tracy). My dislikes, I won't tell you *cough Justin Bieber cough cough*..a bit of a cold, I'm sorry. Well, I won't tell you because some of you are going to plan to kill me afterwards. Moving on....

Colour: I don't see why I didn't put this first. It's the simplest of course. This one is easy, and no one should be able to object because everyone likes different colours. My favourite colour is orange! My least favourite colour is....brown? I don't know, it's not bad, but least favourite.

I don't really have all that much, but hey, it's matches the to do list at the top of my blog: personal favourites. It works. So, I am done! *clap clap clap* HEY! When did you people come back? I thought the door was locked. Oh well, good bye!

In grade 6...

Happy October! The month of Hallow's Eve (Halloween)! I don't usually do much for Halloween though. Well, I've got a new post today. It was MY LIFE IN GRADE 6! *echoes* Ah....I love that echo. Now, let's start. In the new year, I was really excited to go to grade 6. The last year before middle school. Cool! Well, I was in a split class so I was with grade 5s, too. Normally, I should've gone to a regular gr 6 class, but my mom told the principal to change things a little and I ended up with gr 5s, too. Now, let's skip to....sports! Oh, yeah, lots of INJURIES. Ouch. They were mostly in volleyball. For example, one time, someone served the ball, it hit my back. Another time, I was going for the ball. Someone else was also going for the ball. We ran into each other, and no one got the ball. Then there is basketball. Not as much as volleyball, but still a few. One, for example, was when I was about to shoot the ball, I got slammed into the wall. Not that hard, but it still hurt. There is also soccer. I've been smacked in the face, stomach, and chest with the ball a lot of times. It's not funny. I know you're probably laughing, SO STOP IT!!! I guess that's all the injuries. Moving on to the next... SOES. Yay! It was fun. There was the game Predator and Prey. It was fun, except for the fact that my shoes and socks got drowned in MUD. I couldn't wear those shoes for the rest of the time I was there. There was also canoeing. There was 3 people in a canoe and 2 people paddling on 1 side, 1 person paddling on the other. My friend, who was also in the canoe I was in, could still overpower me and the other person in our canoe. He had the experience that we didn't have. He was the only person on 1 side while the other 2 were on the other. I got splashed. A lot. A LOT!!! My pants were soaking wet by the time I got out. Isn't that just awesome? There was also swimming (Icy cold water) and these games that the Natives use to train with. There was this game where you have to be really quiet to catch a jingly metal...thing when someone else was guarding it, but had their eyes closed. When it was my turn to get the metal piece, I crab walked to the metal, picked it up, and slid on my bottom back to my seat. I was almost there, when I accidentally dropped a small part of it, and it hit another part. That got the person's attention (actually, it was Linda Chen) and she caught me. So close. I guess that's all for SOES, so I'll move on to the graduation ceremony. Whee! I was voted valedictorian and had to make a speech about 5 minutes long and present it to the whole school, and parents of some of the graduates. I was really nervous at the beginning, but it seemed only about 2 minutes. Some of my classmates said it took forever! Wow, time really passed by. Well, I guess that's all in grade 6. I'll be posting 1 or 2 more times this month, so, just wait for more! Wow, that was my longest post yet. Ok, goodbye!

For fun

Wow....I'm very bored. I have nothing to do. I guess I'll make an extra post. What shall it be about? IT SHALL BE ABOUT EVIL!! Actually, no. I'll tell you about how my first month at SAM has been. I'll also use it to test the blog features. So, SAM has been pretty good so far. All the teachers are great. I've been in strings class, trying to actually hold a bass (the unbelievably large string instrument). I am 1 of 2 people in my class that plays the bass. The bass is about 60 years old, according to Mrs. Howells. I don't think I want to break that. We are doing a picture book for 3rd-4th graders in drama. One of those fancy ones with the pictures in it and the lesson and that kind of picture book. In gym, we've been running (a lot, I might add), and playing bordenball and King's Court (a kind of dodgeball game). It's been an exciting first month. English, Science, Math, Core, and all my subjects have been very exciting. I'll estimate that it's about 200 words now, I hope. Good bye for real this time, because the month is about to end, which means that I probably won't post again until next month. So, goodbye!

The Introduction

Hi people! It's Oscar. I call this post the introduction. Why? Well, it's to introduce myself to you... even though I doubt a lot of you will read it or anything, but it's just in case you do read it, and, it's also homework, so I have to do it anyways. Well, I'll give you some general info about me first. I was born on January the 4th (I know it's early, don't bug me about it) on 1997. I was born in Toronto, Canada, in Toronto General Hospital. My former school was Alexmuir Junior Public School through K-8. I was in band and I played the trombone. I also play the piano. I'm in level 5 and I took an exam in level 4. Going back to the topic of school, I was valedictorian of my school (thanks to all who voted for me). I had a lot of friends, but now they all go to Henry Kelsey. So now, I'm working on making new friends, but 15 people come to SAM from Alexmuir. That's not too bad, except only 3 of them are boys, and the other 12 are girls. So yeah, that's not too great. I have okay grades, about an A-B average, I don't really bother trying to figure that out and I'm not all that good at art (I can't believe I can say that after we read The Dot). Well, I guess that's all, and it's over 200 words now, too (yes, I counted, I'm that specific). I'm done for the month, so uhh...blog you next month? Well, goodbye!
