Happy October! The month of Hallow's Eve (Halloween)! I don't usually do much for Halloween though. Well, I've got a new post today. It was MY LIFE IN GRADE 6! *echoes* Ah....I love that echo. Now, let's start. In the new year, I was really excited to go to grade 6. The last year before middle school. Cool! Well, I was in a split class so I was with grade 5s, too. Normally, I should've gone to a regular gr 6 class, but my mom told the principal to change things a little and I ended up with gr 5s, too. Now, let's skip to....sports! Oh, yeah, lots of INJURIES. Ouch. They were mostly in volleyball. For example, one time, someone served the ball, it hit my back. Another time, I was going for the ball. Someone else was also going for the ball. We ran into each other, and no one got the ball. Then there is basketball. Not as much as volleyball, but still a few. One, for example, was when I was about to shoot the ball, I got slammed into the wall. Not that hard, but it still hurt. There is also soccer. I've been smacked in the face, stomach, and chest with the ball a lot of times. It's not funny. I know you're probably laughing, SO STOP IT!!! I guess that's all the injuries. Moving on to the next... SOES. Yay! It was fun. There was the game Predator and Prey. It was fun, except for the fact that my shoes and socks got drowned in MUD. I couldn't wear those shoes for the rest of the time I was there. There was also canoeing. There was 3 people in a canoe and 2 people paddling on 1 side, 1 person paddling on the other. My friend, who was also in the canoe I was in, could still overpower me and the other person in our canoe. He had the experience that we didn't have. He was the only person on 1 side while the other 2 were on the other. I got splashed. A lot. A LOT!!! My pants were soaking wet by the time I got out. Isn't that just awesome? There was also swimming (Icy cold water) and these games that the Natives use to train with. There was this game where you have to be really quiet to catch a jingly metal...thing when someone else was guarding it, but had their eyes closed. When it was my turn to get the metal piece, I crab walked to the metal, picked it up, and slid on my bottom back to my seat. I was almost there, when I accidentally dropped a small part of it, and it hit another part. That got the person's attention (actually, it was Linda Chen) and she caught me. So close. I guess that's all for SOES, so I'll move on to the graduation ceremony. Whee! I was voted valedictorian and had to make a speech about 5 minutes long and present it to the whole school, and parents of some of the graduates. I was really nervous at the beginning, but it seemed only about 2 minutes. Some of my classmates said it took forever! Wow, time really passed by. Well, I guess that's all in grade 6. I'll be posting 1 or 2 more times this month, so, just wait for more! Wow, that was my longest post yet. Ok, goodbye!
